Country Leaders (CL) Rules & Regulations
Event & Examination Procedures & Payments

  1. Each CL must provide proof of business registration, business address, a short write up about their School and Personal Profile as part of their application.
  2. Each CL must attend ONE meeting every two years.
  3. Each CL is responsible for collecting membership application forms and member fees.
  4. Each CL is responsible to update the Admin Office with the membership details and transferring the member fees.
  5. Each CL is responsible for organizing one IGA event each year.
    1. If a CL does not organize any event (seminar, workshop or exam) for their groomers in their country (over a 24 month period) then the IGA Executive has the right to terminate their membership and look for another CL to represent that country. (this does not apply to founding CL’s)
  6. Each CL will be given the design for the IGA name card. Each CL is personally responsible for printing their name cards.
  7. The IGA Facebook must not be used to promote a CL’s own personal businesses or Schools. The purpose of the IGA face book page is to promote IGA related events. School or personal face book pages must not be tagged to the IGA page unless it is referring directly to an IGA event. CLs can discuss this with Admin if they have any questions.
  8. Admin will answer all messages received on Facebook. When necessary they will be redirected to the CL concerned.
  9. CL’s must be part of the Facebook World Wide Chat Group.
  10. CLs must inform Admin that they are planning an IGA Seminar or IGA Exam / Competition so that an IGA ‘number’ can be allocated to the event.
    1. IGA HQ will provide CLs with a checklist for examinations and procedures.
  11. Participants taking part in an IGA certified grooming examination or IGA Seminar must be IGA members (see no 25).
  12. Participants taking part in an IGA grooming event must pay:
    1. Member fee (100% paid to IGA)
    2. Entry fee (100% paid to CL organizing the event)
    3. Certificate fee: A fee must be paid to IGA for each C, B and A Certificate ordered from HQ.
  13.  When organizing an event the CL would be responsible for:
    1. Promoting the event
    2. Standard Event Set Up & Layout (refer to checklist)
    3. Trophies
    4. Judge Fees, Judge Hotel and Judge Flight
    5. Transportation and Food for Judges & Admin
  14. CL’s must get the ‘ok’ from Admin before they post out or use any promotional material with the IGA logo (poster, flyer, invitation etc.) Any marketing material using the IGA Logo must be seen by Admin.
    1. IGA logo may not be altered under any circumstances.
  15. CL’s must pay each IGA Judge a fee of US$200.
  16. The CL decides the Entry fee for any event.
  17. The cost of the IGA Certificate Fee and any Seminar Certificate must be confirmed between the CL and IGA Admin.
  18. IGA Founding CLs determine Membership fees.
    1. Individual Member as at 1 November 2016 is Singapore $ 30.00
    2. School Member as at 1 November 2016 is Singapore $ 120.00
  19. CL’s may invite guest Judges from other countries as well to judge their event. There is no restriction on which judges can be used but there must be at least ONE IGA Appointed Judge actively judging or invigilating at each class of certification.
  20. When organizing an event: Exam / Seminar / Workshop / Demonstration / Membership Drive – the CL must put up a banner or back drop that clearly & prominently shows the IGA Logo, the name of the event and the date.
    1. Photos taken at the IGA examination must clearly show the:
      1. IGA LOGO
      2. Examination Date
      3. Class
  21. CL’s must follow the IGA rules & regulations for their examination. The CL should hold a meeting with the judges prior to the exam to discuss any requirements and Rules & Regulations they want specific to their competition. Judges would be required to follow each CL’s requests.
  22. .IGA Admin will provide each CL the Score Sheets that must be used at all IGA Examinations.
    1. The IGA Judge must sign the score sheet and pass it to the CL for safe keeping.
    2. The score sheet must NOT be shown to anyone and it must NOT be made public.
  23. A CL may NOT be a Judge at the examination they are organizing.
    1. CLs organizing an exam may assist IGA Admin.
    2. CL (who are also IGA Judges) may be an IGA Invigilator at their examination.
  24. ALL participants who pass the IGA Examination must be issued with IGA Certificates.
  25. IGA Seminars:
    Participants taking part in an IGA seminar must pay:

    1. Member fee (100% to IGA)
    2. Seminar Certificate of Attendance fee (10% for IGA & 90% for CL)
    3. OPTION 1 (WITHOUT IGA seminar certificate):
      1. All participants must be members. Each participant must fill out an application form.
      2. Members names must be emailed to Admin so that member numbers can be allocated and names can be added to the website.
      3. Member fees can be paid using paypal on the website.
      4. Any Seminar fee collected is for the CL to use to cover seminar costs.
    4. OPTION 2 (WITH IGA seminar certificate):
      1. All participants must be members. Member fees must be paid using paypal on the website and each participant must fill out an application form.
      2. Members names must be emailed to Admin so that member numbers can be allocated and names can be added to the website.
      3. The seminar fee must be confirmed with IGA HQ prior to making it public.
      4. 90% of Seminar fee collected is for the CL to use to cover seminar costs.
      5. 10% of the Seminar Fee must be transferred to IGA for the IGA Seminar Certificate of Attendance.
      6. Seminar Certificates can be mailed before or after the event. This must be arranged directly with IGA HQ.
    5. OPTION 3 – IGA Membership DRIVE with a FREE seminar:
      1. CLs may offer ONE FREE seminar to groomers to tell them about IGA.
      2. No Seminar fee is collected by the CL.
      3. This must be confirmed with IGA HQ.
      4. Participants do not need to be members BUT if the CL wants to give a Certificate of Attendance then the groomers MUST be members and the CL must pay for the printing and posting costs for the certificates.
  26. When organizing a seminar the CL would be responsible for:
    1. Promoting the event
    2. Set Up
    3. Speaker: Flight, Hotel and Fees
    4. Transportation and Food for Speaker

The Country Leader Rules & Regulations may change from time to time. IGA Admin will update country Leaders accordingly.
